A Recent Look at the Alameda Point Antiques & Collectibles Faire

You know I can't pass up a good estate or yard sale. So when a friend asked if I would like to wake-up at the crack of dawn to go to "the point," I jumped at the chance. The Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Faire is Northern California's largest antiques and collectibles show and showcases 800+ outdoor dealers selling their goods on the first Sunday of every month at the former Alameda Point Naval Air Station in Alameda, California. Everything  for sale must be over twenty years old. Most keep to this rule, but I did find some interesting items {i.e. Old Navy t-shirt} that I wouldn't qualify as "vintage", but what the heck.

I brought my little Canon along to take some pictures. The thick fog helped in the early hours, but as soon as the sun broke through, the images were too washed out. So, here are the  photos  that turned out with some of the items that caught my eye...

Aren't these root balls amazing {pic above}? I would love to figure out how to do this. May be Kate or Janell will figure it out and post about it.

I didn't go home empty handed {put a little dent in the wallet!} and will share some of the treasures in a future post. Do you shop flea markets?
