Jeneration Fabulous

I have been a fan of Jennifer Dyer of Jeneration Interiors for a while - she has done a room in the Pasadena Showcase House for the past two years, and her rooms are always my favorite...






So it's no surprise that a spread of her work in this month's Lonny (which I devoured yesterday when I got home) was hands down my favorite.

Why did I only just now realize that Lonny has an Etsy shop? They sell gorgeous, artistic prints from the magazine that have me drooling... If only I hadn't already filled my home's walls with mirrors, wallpaper, and enormous paintings of my dog, I'd definitely pick up one of these goodies.

Today I've got a roundup of some fabulous December magazines... Here's one of my favorites: Lonny, the online design mag. I am SO thrilled by their announcement, they will now be coming out with new content every month, rather than every other.

They featured some gorgeous tabletops...

I saw those placemats at a sample sale and am still kicking myself for not buying them!

Lulu @ Lonny

LOVED the latest issue of Lonny, which has reigned supreme as my favorite design magazine, both online and offline.

Lulu from the fabulous fabric line Lulu DK, had her home showcased, and I loved the clean and easy breasy Los Angeles home.



My husband and I saw these ram's heads at flea market on Sunday, to make a coffee table like the one pictured, but we have no space for more coffee tables (too bad!)


Love how she layered her fabrics in the bedroom.

Gorgeous Lighting in the Haus!

I've been infatuated with NYC shop Haus Interior in NYC ever since it was featured in Lonny, my favorite design mag.

Let's be honest, any store with a zig-zag floor had me at "hello."


A lamp they carry was feature in this month's Elle Decor - I'm a sucker for an exposed/industrial bulb.

Lonny Trends Heading This Way

Like a little kid on Christmas, I get all excited when a new issue of Lonny hits the (virtual) news stands. In this issue, I noticed loads of yummy, fantastical headboards...

Lonny Talk / Coffee Talk

A few months ago, I decided to set aside one day per week for "Swedlow Design Development Day." I wanted one day per week of doing something to get my creative juices flowing besides sitting in my office - visiting a museum, antiques shops, sketching at a sculpture garden... Hmm, well after two weeks, that fell by the wayside as I got too busy between clients and life. But I knew I was really busy when DAYS went by before I was able to flip through my FAVORITE online design magazine, Lonny.

My obsession with this issue of Lonny is the gorgeous coffee tables they show off.

I've been obsessed with this bronze gorgeousness for years.

Lucite trunk on the zig zag.

Clearly I'm biased on those last two - here is my den with the lucite coffee table on a bold black/white rug... And my adorable pup (my favorite accessory.)

The Lonny Lowdown

Each time Lonny (the fab online magazine) comes out, I squeal with joy and run to my computer to post my favorite goodies. While today I wasn't able to run to my computer (had a client meeting this morning, followed by an epic visit to the Pacific Design Center to find the PERFECT blue velvet - I honestly might have gotten 50 samples), I am thrilled to present you with the best of the best, my favorite looks from the third issue of Lonny.

The cover features the apartment of sisters Victoria and Antonia Thompson. Also features the Dash & Albert rug I blogged about yesterday (great minds think alike?)

Their apartment was my favorite spread - gorgeous and eclectic - looked well thought-out without looking stuffy or overly designed.

Great use of zebra.

That mirror on the mantel is killer.


Another great spread was on designer Betsy Burnham (who I shown some blog love here before) and her Instant/Space design services - doing design concepting for a client who will then go out themselves and do the leg work/purchasing - a great idea for doing a long distance job (like I am for a friend in Washington DC!) or for a client who is looking for a custom designed home without a ridiculous price tag. Love the final product!



And the coolest part of the article? It included my friend from design school, Alyssa! (that's her on the right)

A new issue of Lonny (everyone's favorite online design mag) is going to hit the stands (or I guess the screens!) in only two days! February 10th! Can't wait! I'm so excited, this post has five exclamation marks!
