New Design Crush

My newest design crush is the work of Michael Habachy of Habachy Designs, an Atlanta, GA based design firm. Their work is hip, modern, sexy and chic. GORGEOUS!!!

Love the dining room in the Bachelor's Residence in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Love when people take the risk and go with bold, black wallpaper

I love the use of emerald green in the Artefacto Style House in Atlanta
The Aurum nightclub in Atlanta is sexy, chic and GOLD!

Oh, tufting will never get old :)

Strong contrasts in black and white at The Royal, a nightclub in Atlanta

More sexy black wallpaper - at the Bachelor's residence, Buenos Aires, Argentina

He doesn't just do dark, brooding, sexy interiors - he also has some elegant, feminine spaces -
The Blue Corset Co in Atlanta -- could this be my closet please?

A stunning spa - Polished Beauty Lounge in Atlanta
LOVE the Missoni/Kartell chairs at the manicure stations!

And finally, the closet at the Holiday House, Atlanta... my DREAM closet! I would need to get a few more pairs of shoes to properly fill it up!

Designer Dream Date Night

I saw these restaurants today in the Sept/Oct issue of California Home + Design - these two restaurants look like a dream date-night duo, no?

Loving how the turquoise bar stools really pop against the bar.
Cecconi's, a restaurant and bar here in LA (HAVE to get over there soon!)

This second spot is so simple and chic. Exposed brick + blue/gray walls + randomly hung wall frames + my dining room chairs = lovely

Yummy Design

I love a gorgeous restaurant. It really combines my two favorite things on Earth: food and design.

This month's Dwell Magazine had an LA insert - these images are from the 2009 AIA Los Angeles Restaurant Design Awards - I have to visit them both!

LAMILL Coffee... might be a great spot to read through all my design magazines...

Love the colors, the wall murals, the grand chandelier.

Comme Ca is another fabulous LA restaurant I have yet to visit. Well, to be totally honest, I had reservations there last year for my birthday, but the restaurant was SO loud, no one could hear each other talk, so we chose to move to the restaurant across the street. My birthday is around holiday time, so there were lots of large parties, so I'll definitely have to give it a second shot.
Black and silver - a classic!
